Luminvision is not the only company that to have and Interactive Projection System. Recently the digital out of home company, Visual Interactive Promotions (VIP) announced that they too have an interactive system that allows people to interact with the advertisement being shown. The system comes with a PC with visual interactive software, an infrared camera, and a Panasonic PT-D10000 projector. The D10000 was selected because it is able to display SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) resolution and 10000 ANSI lumens, which is enough to display clear pictures for any room conditions. VIP stated that their system is designed for marketing purposes primarily and can be set up to display on any surface. Their most recent project involved setting up two interactive systems in the Bluewater shopping center, in the UK. Guests that walk over the advertisements can watch as ripple effects follow them and gives the illusion of walking on water.
