Optoma Announces Release Date for Pico Projector

Optoma recently announced that their Pico projector will be released October 25th. The catch is that the release will only be in Taiwan. The Pico projector weighs less than half a pound and can be held like a remote control. It has an AV input that allows the projector to connect to any hand held device, including iPod, digital cameras, hand held game consoles, and headsets. The projector uses a USB connection to charge the internal battery, which can run for up to 90 minutes. The Pico projector uses DLP display panels that were provided by Texas Instrument. The light source for this projector is a LED light that is able to run for at least 20000 hours before needing replaced. The retail price for the Pico projector is around NT$14,800 (US$456).
