Sanyo has recently announced release of the PLC-XP200L in the UK. This projector displays a XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, a 2200:1 contrast ratio, and 7000 ANSI lumens. It is also the first projector to use 4LCD display technology. In typical 3LCD projectors, there would be an LCD panel for each of the three primary colors, red, green, and blue. The XP200L has a fourth LCD panel that will show the newest color, yellow. This forth display panel sharpens the yellows, oranges and reds of the image and gives them a more vibrant look. In addition to all this, the XP200L benefits from Sanyo’s Auto Maintenance Filter System. This system automatically changes the projector’s air filter, when required, which increases the period between required maintenance checks. The PLC-XP200L is currently available to order through Sanyo’s website, however, the price has not been announced.
