3M MPro110 Pocket Projector on Video

YouTube Preview Image

You may have read about the MPro110 pocket projector released by 3M. Recently, a video has been found detailing the specifications of the MPro110 as well as showing what the mini projector can do. The MPro110 is one of the first pocket projectors to be released to the consumer market. It weighs 0.3 lbs and is about the size of a cell phone. It can display VGA (640 x 480) resolution on a screen up to 50 inches diagonally. The MPro110 comes with only two connections: a VGA connection and a video connection, which allows you to connect to a variety of portable devices. The projector can run either from its integrated battery, or by connecting it to a power cord. In addition, the MPro110 uses LED lights, which eliminates projector noise, reduces start up and cool down time, and increases the intervals between maintenance checks.

Apparently these mini projectors will last up to 10,000 hours – much more than the big ones, but I do wonder about the picture quality.

Everyone will have one of these within a couple of years, but it will probably come bundled into a phone, iPod or similar.
