PLUS has announced their newest TAXAN projector that will be released in October. The TAXAN KG-PL105S projector is the smallest projector ever made by this company. Its dimensions are 6.1″ x 2.0″ x 4.6″ (W x H x D) and it weighs only 1.7 lbs. The KG-PL105S also features SVGA (800 x 600) resolution and a 1400:1 contrast ratio. The KG-PL105S uses an LED light to produce up to 140 ANSI lumens. Usually projectors with LED lamps are quieter than most projectors. Unfortunately that doesn’t appear to be the case with this model. The KG-PL105S produces a 32 dB noise level. However it does quiet down to 28 dB in Eco Mode. Another main feature of this projector is its 5 second start up and shutdown feature. This feature is convenient because it dramatically reduces the wait time users need for the projector to cool down enough to be moved. Unfortunately, the retail price has not been announced for this projector yet.
