Christie Celebrates 11th Year with Manhattan Short Film Festival

Christie has been the proud sponsor of the Manhattan Short Film Festival for 11 years. To celebrate, Christie has brought one of their finest projectors to the festival, the Roadster HD18K. This is one of Christie’s most powerful projectors, featuring full HD resolution, 2000:1 contrast ratio and a whopping 17500 ANSI lumens. The HD18K also has the ability to scale to a QXGA (2048 x 1536) resolution, just in case full HD wasn’t enough. The projector will be used to show the 12 finalist movies at the end of the festival. The film festival is held in four countries (Europe, North, South Central America, and Australia), from September 21st thru the 28th. Christie’s celebration and the screening of the finalists will take place on Spring Street in New York City. Nick Mason, festival director and founder, said “The Manhattan Short Film Festival unites audiences of every culture and nationality through the most creative short films in the world. Christie has played an integral role in our phenomenal growth. They are among the pioneers in the industry that anticipated the impact of digital technology and supported innovative venues like MSFF, where the new generation of filmmakers is making their mark.”
