Sanyo has announced that a new projector will be released in mid October. The PLV-1080HD projector does not have a lot of specs available right now. However, we do know the 1080HD will be the first projector to be released from Sanyo that will have 3LCD display technology and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The 1080HD will also have a 10000:1 contrast ratio for deep black levels and crystal clear white levels. The 1080HD also uses a 165 watt UHP lamp to project 1200 ANSI lumens. This model is designed to bring a high quality theater experience to the comforts of your own home. Unfortunately Sanyo is not releasing any additional information for this projector. The PLV-1080HD will retail for about $1995. More information about the PLV-1080 will be released as it becomes available.
