Developer Alpay Kasal of Lit Studios has recently designed an interactive mod for projectors. The LaserGames mouse emulator projects interactive games and other programs onto your screen. Up to two users can play the games by using ordinary laser pointers (red or green). One of the games demoed is an interactive alien shooter. Creatures that look like they came from space invaders move on the screen and the user has to point the laser onto them in order to kill them. Another game is a two person pong game. The paddles are controlled based on where the pointer is on the screen. This emulator also has a few other programs including growing your own garden and a paint program. Lit Studios is not releasing any information on how this emulator works, but we believe it’s similar to the technology you would see in interactive projectors like the Boxlight ProjectoWrite. Unfortunately the LaserGames Mouse Emulator is only a prototype right now but it is expected to be on display sometime soon.
