Microvision Announces Shipments of SHOW Projectors for Evaluations

It has been a while since we heard about Microvision and their SHOW PicoP projector. Recently Microvision announced that they have started shipping their PicoP projector to world leading consumer electronics, equipment manufacturers, and telecommunications carriers. These projectors are shipped for evaluation purposes and end-user testing. Microvision’s SHOW PicoP projector is about the size of a cigarette case and uses different colored lasers to display the image onto the screen. This laser technology allows the SHOW to never loose focus allowing for an optimal picture no matter the circumstances. The SHOW is also able to display images up to 100 inches diagonally, while being in a dimly lit room. The Microvision SHOW is not expected to be released until next year. The timing of these, recently announced, shipments are consistent with the guidance the company gave during its second quarter conference call is a major milestone towards the commercial release of the SHOW. The feedback given from these shipments will help construct the final configuration of the projector.
