Recently, mimio announced that they will be pairing with 3M to provide educators with a complete interactive classroom package. The package includes mimio’s award-winning interactive whiteboard solutions and the 3M SCP712 projector. This projector features 2000 ANSI lumens, a 2100:1 contrast ratio, and a native XGA (1024 x 768), which is more than enough for any classroom. It also features an ultra short throw distance lens that can display a 30 inch image from less than 2 feet away. This allows for teachers to interact with the whiteboard with out creating shadows. Mark Colin, general manager, 3M Projection Systems Department, said “We share mimio’s commitment to provide classroom technology and solutions that are well suited to the needs of teachers and students alike. Pairing our projector systems with mimio technology ensures that everyone will enjoy the best interactive learning experience possible.” The package will come in several variations including a choice of a fixed of folding wall mount. The market price for the classroom package $2595 and includes minio’s whiteboard, the folding arm wall mount, projector, and an interactive audio system. You can also choose to purchase only the projector and folding arm wall mount for $2230 or the projector and fixed wall mount for $2136.
