The Sony VPL-HW10 projector got recognized today by G4 in their list of “Rich Bastard’s Gadgets”. The HW10 was chosen because it is the latest projector released from Sony to feature SXRD display technology and full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The HW10 also uses the BRAVIA Engine 2 processor to display the high quality images the BRAVIA series is known for. The HW10 also displays a 30000:1 contrast ratio and 1000 ANSI lumens. It comes with dual HDMI inputs as well as standards analog connections. G4 also pointed out that the HW10 comes with a 1.6x short throw lens which allows you to project an 80 inch screen, diagonally, from about 8 feet away. The biggest reason why the VPL-HW10 was added to the list is because it retails for just under $3500. The HW10 is finally available for pre-ordering and is expected to launch sometime early in November.
