High Tech Restaurant Uses Touch Screens Instead of Menus

ir_a1.jpg

If you are looking for a state-of-the-art dinning experience, then you need to go to the Inamo Restaurant in London England. Designed by two Oxford graduates, the restaurant has fully interactive touch screen tables that the guests can use to see how good their food will look on their plate. Guests can not only look at their menu but they can also order food and drinks by touching the table. If your food is taking to long, then the table has several games that you could play while you wait including battle ship. During diner, the table shows a display of lights and shapes while you eat. The guest can change the display to something of their choosing. The tables also allow you to call for a waiter and look at or pay your check when you are done eating. The table even allows you to call a taxi when you are done. The technology is very similar to the Microsoft Surface system. But instead of having the projector and pc under the table, they mounted them in a box that is suspended above the table. This allows the bottoms of the table to be free for comfortable seating and also allows the projector to not only project your menu, but also provides adequate lighting for your meal.
