In addition to displaying Home theater projectors at CEDIA this weekend, JVC is also releasing a new Large Venue projector. The DLA-SH4K was on display around this time last year. It features 3500 ANSI lumens and a 10000:1 contrast ratio. Its main feature is the 4096 x 2400 resolution. That means that viewers can watch four full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution screens at a time.  The SH4K uses D-ILA display technology which is a proprietary form of LCOS, which offers a greater pixel density than common LCD or DLP display technology. The SH4K will have four DVI-D inputs as well as several control connections including, RS-232C, USB, and an RJ-45 LAN port. It will also have two optional lenses to choose from. One is used for screens up to 300 inches, diagonally. The other lens is a short throw lens that can display on screens up to 250 inches, diagonally. The DLA-SH4K is currently available to order through JVC’s website. Unfortunately, the price has not been released.
