The Sony VPL-CX155 is designed with businesses in mind. It features 3500 ANSI lumens and a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. It also uses 3LCD technology to display excellent video and movies. The reviewers at Hot LCD Projectors had the opportunity to test this machine to see if it could hold up to its purpose. They noticed that while the CX155 was excellent for movies, the projector was not able to display clear images when tested with Microsoft Word and Excel documents. The images would always be blurry, making reading anything on the screen difficult. They also didn’t like the fact that the projector was not able to produce the 3500 ANSI lumens that Sony said it could display. At best they mentioned that the projector could only show quality pictures while the room was dimly lit or completely dark. This is good for anyone wanting to watch a movie but the reviewers thought that this was unacceptable for the projectors target selling field. At the end the writers said, “Overall, we were left wanting more from a business projector with such a high price tag.”
