Mint Wireless Releases V10 Pocket Projector

You may have read about the V10 pocket projector, the projector that was going to debut in Australia in September. Turns out that Mint Wireless couldn’t wait for September and has already released the V10 projector for the low cost of $649 GST (about $560 US). About the size of a cell phone, the V10 is the first pocket projector to be releases to the consumer market. It comes with RCA video and audio connections as well as a 1 GB built-in memory. It also has an SD card slot for those presenters that don’t want to bring your laptops. The V10 can also accommodate for audio with two 1 watt stereo speakers. The projector is able to display a VGA (640 x 480) resolution and can display up to a 50 inch screen. The lamp is powered by an LED light and has a 20000 hour lifespan. The only major concern about the V10 is its 60 minute battery life not quite long enough for any decent movie, which may suggest that the V10 is more meant for traveling presenters and office presentations. The V10 also comes with a mini tripod to allow for maximum stability while presenting. Unfortunately, the V10 is only available in Australia right now, but there is hope that it will be available world wide sometime in the near future.

Shame the Aiptek model is crap … no VGA input, won’t play any video files converted using the included software, and would only convey the image over A/V inputs, not sound … http://www.itwire.com/content/view/21853/532/
