Save Money by Protecting Your Projector Lamp

Anyone who has bought a projector knows that the replacement lamps can make owning a projector an expensive investment. Projector lamps use a rare gas called Xenon to create their brightness. It’s this rare gas that can run the price of lamps as high as $500 or more. There are several tips that users can do in order to prevent their lamps from burning out early. One major tip is making sure the projector can breathe. If the lamp doesn’t have enough air to breath it will heat up and burn out faster. Another way to get cool air into your projector is to clean the air filter more often. The clean air filter will allow more air to enter through the fan and keep your lamp cool. Another tip is that you can wait until the lamp is completely cool before moving the projector. Moving, shaking, or bumping the hot projector can cause the lamp to break or even explode. If your bulb does break, check your warranty to see if the lamp is still under warranty. If so return it immediately. This will prevent you from having to spend extra money on a new lamp.
