DreamWorks CEO Make History With Longest 3D Broadcast Ever

Jeffrey Katzenberg, SKG CEO of DreamWorks Animation, will be making history next month. He will be interviewed on multi-camera Stereoscopic equipment and be sent by satellite to Amsterdam, Holland. What makes this filming so historic is because this is the first time that the Stereoscopic equipment will be used for a live broadcast. This equipment used is the same equipment used in most 3D movies, demonstrations, and presentations. The equipment is being provided by 3Ality, who has been a leader in 3D technology for several years. Their 3D technology is integrated into the Christie CP2000 series projectors, which will be receiving and projecting the broadcast in Amsterdam. The challenge with the broadcast is the distance in which the signal needs to travel. 3Ality has done live broadcasts before, however never from half way around the world. The broadcast is set to take place September 14th and will be presented to over 1000 guests at a conference hall in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, the guests will have to wear the standard 3D specs in order to see the 3D effects.
