Syracuse University Puts Projection Screens On Buildings

Syracuse University in New York is planning to make a big change to their buildings. They are making plans to have projectors display artwork onto the walls of some of the buildings. The projector is called the Urban Video Project and it first began last February as a temporary exhibition. However, so many people enjoyed the display that the school is looking into making the screens permanent. One of the locations for these screens will be the Civic Center. They plan to start the project with artwork from students and faculty. Then they plan to open the screen to local artists who wish to get their artwork noticed and then branch off from there. The screens will help many upcoming artists get their work noticed easier than if it was in a gallery. The screens are expected to be in place and running by as early as October.
