The Planar PD8150 is one of Planar’s best projectors. It features full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, 1000 ANSI lumens and a 15000:1 contrast ratio. It is also a relatively light weight projector, weighing only 22 lbs. Recently, the writers at Trusted Reviews got their hands on one of these projectors and saw how good it really is. There were practically no problems with the PD8150 except that the noise level was too loud, and every once and a while you would get a flash of the rainbow effect that all DLP projectors get. He went on to say, “Yes, in the interests of full disclosure, professionalism and thoroughness, I finished the review of the PD8150 with some negatives. But lets be clear about this: the ‘issues’ I raised are in fact so small relative to the PD8150’s emphatic glories that I’m almost embarrassed I mentioned them.”
