You may have read before about the Belkin FlyWire. This device is able to transmit HD (1920 x 1080) resolution images wirelessly over a 5 GHz band. Belkin promises that there will be little to no interference or latency problems with the FlyWire. The FlyWire has several connections including three HDMI inputs, two component inputs, a composite input, and an HDMI output. The FlyWire also comes in two versions. The AV69003 is geared for multiple rooms and uses an IR backchannel to control an entire household. The AV69000 is designed for a single room and doesn’t come with the IR backchannel. Neither of these devices comes cheap, retailing at $1000 (AV69003) and $700 (AV69000). The FlyWire is expected to hit store in October.
