The Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX is getting a digital upgrade in a big way. Recently the church got in contact with Christie because of Christie’s record for producing easy to maintain, reliable, and easy to operate large venue projectors. Christie is one of the leading manufacturers for projectors that are used in a variety of large venues including movie theaters, conventions, auditoriums, and now churches. The biggest display that the Fellowship church has is a three screen display, behind the main stage. The two 24 x 13.5 foot screens on the sides of the stage will use Christie’s Roadie 25K projectors. The main screen of this gigantic display is another 24 x 13.5 feet screen and will use dual stacked Roadster S+16K projectors. In addition to this big display, the rest of the church and adjacent school uses nine LX45 projectors for a variety of purposes. The Apex Student Building and Chapel Auditoriums also use four Christie LW40 projectors that they use for weekly services. The Fellowship church also uses the ChristieNET networking solution to connect all these projectors to one network. This allows the Fellowship church to broadcast their sermons through out all their campus. They have several campuses through out Texas including Dallas, Fort Worth, and Plano. They also have a campus down in Miami Florida. The Fellowship church plans to expand their church as more people attend services, concerts, and other events. They also intend to continue to use Christie to help them with their expansions.

FELLOWSHIP CHURCH CHOOSES CHRISTIE FOR STATE-OF-THE-ART CHURCH SERVICES

CYPRESS, CA – (June 30, 2008) – Christie Digital projectors are the new standard of excellence for visual displays at Fellowship Church in Grapevine, TX.  Led by Pastor Ed Young, Fellowship Church is one of the largest and fastest-growing churches in the United States with an estimated weekly attendance of more than 20,000.  Recognized for its state-of-the-art church services that are as inspiring as they are visually stunning, Fellowship Church is on the leading-edge when it comes to houses of worship. Using unique and effective visual communications for its live and internationally broadcast services, Fellowship Church has standardized on Christie across its five campuses in Texas and Florida.

“Christie earned our business when we sought to upgrade our technology,” comments Pace Hartfield, worship pastor for Fellowship Church. “Their image quality met our highest standards, but they were also easy to maintain, easy to operate, and very reliable.  These are important factors for us because we utilize a high volume of volunteers to execute our weekend services, and they have limited technical skills. Also, Christie projectors can take any content we throw at them. From live images and graphics, to pre-recorded presentations of every kind, the final product is impeccable.”

Clark ProMedia, one of the nation’s premier performance engineering firms, worked on specialized design projects at Fellowship’s various campuses, providing solutions for the physical space and performance technology to bring their vision to life.

Among highlights of Fellowship Church’s installations are the flagship Christie Roadie 25K 3-chip DLP projectors, which deliver 25,000 ANSI lumens of brightness to two giant 24′ x 13 ½’ screens, one on each side of the main worship center in Grapevine, Texas.  Two stacked Christie Roadster S+16K 3-chip DLP projectors fire-up the 24′ x 13 ½’ screen on the main stage with a total of 32,000 ANSI lumens as part of a rear-projection set-up.  In other areas of the Grapevine campus, nine Christie LX45 LCD projectors light up 16′ x 9′ screens; and, in The Apex Student Building and Chapel auditoriums, four Christie LW40s are utilized to support their weekly services.

Fellowship Church broadcasts its services from Grapevine to satellite locations in Fort Worth, Downtown Dallas, Plano, and Miami.  All of its projectors are controlled via ChristieNET networking solution, which provides remote diagnostic and troubleshooting, to help significantly reduce system downtime. A three-projector set-up is used in the worship areas of the satellite campuses, composed of a center screen for the stage and two side screens, all powered by Christie.

“Fellowship Church is not afraid to push the technology envelope to meet the challenges of remote worship,” says Hartfield.  “We’ve looked to Christie because, in the same way, Christie is at the forefront of the technology evolution for houses of worship with systems that are smaller, brighter and of the highest quality.  These are especially critical factors in our rear-projection system in Grapevine, where space is at a premium and installation flexibility is paramount.  Christie projectors are also exceptionally quiet, important in the worship area, because you do not want them to overpower the audio.  Most of all, Christie backs its products with technical support of the highest caliber.”

“Christie is an industry leader when it comes to providing quality visual solutions that meet the rigorous needs of the most sophisticated installations in houses of worship,” says Gary Fuller, vice president, Business Products, Christie.  “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Fellowship Church to bring the highest standards of visual technology to its ever-growing number of members across the U.S.”

To date, Fellowship Church has installed 24 Christie projectors across all its campuses, with plans to install more as it expands into new locations.  Fellowship Church looks to Christie to ensure that its rapidly growing attendance experiences the same inspiring, virtual experience regardless of their location.
