Sony Announces New Projector Line at InfoComm

Sony apparently is competing with Sharp to see which company can release the most projectors at InfoComm. All of these models are geared for either large venues, office rooms, or both. First up are the VPL-EX5 ($1050) and VPL-EX50 ($1270). These two models feature 3LCD display technology and XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. The EX5 also features 2000 ANSI lumens, while the EX50 features 2500 ANSI lumens. Next is the VPL-EW ($1410), which features WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution and the same 2000 ANSI lumens as the previous models. There is also the VPL-FX41 ($6270) which is supposed to be better than its predecessors, the VPL-FE40 and VPL-FX40. Unfortunately the only stats we know about the FX41 is that it features XGA (1024 x 768) resolution and 5000 ANSI lumens. There is also the VPL-FW300L ($27000) that features 7000 ANSI lumens and WXGA+ (1366 x 800) resolution. This model also has a 2500 hour lamp life. Lastly is the biggest of the bunch, the VPL-FH300L ($40000). This model features up to 6000 ANSI lumens and has a 2048 x 1080 resolution, which is better than HD. All of these models are now available except for the VPL-FX41. The FX41 will be available in November.
