The Samsung SP-A800B is a beautiful looking projector for any home theater. It features a 10000:1 contrast ratio and 1000 ANSI lumens. It also displays full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The reviewers at Trusted Reviews had the opportunity to test this projector and see everything it could do. They liked the use of the Darkchip2 chip set. The reviewers thought the DarkChip2 set worked better for the SP-A800B than any of the newer DLP chipsets. They also enjoyed the curves and sleek design of the projector’s chasis. They also mentioned that the projector ran unbelievably silent. Their only problem with the SP-A800B was that they thought the $3900 asking price is a little expensive. They went on to say, “There’s a lot to like about Samsung’s SP-A800B. The brand’s connection with Joe Kane has certainly helped the projector stand out from the pack in the shadow detail and color tone departments, and the design is both practical and pretty enough to embellish any room.”
