These panels, originally designed for specific high-end training and military or commercial applications, are now allowing VDC to provide high quality features that are cost effective, in addition the black levels on the projectors are optimized for higher quality.

Various aspects of LCoS (Liquid Crystal on Silicon) technology include; excellent geometry and convergence stability, single lens for ease of installation, long imaging life, low lamp replacement cost, and many others. According to Marcial Vidal, VDC Display Systems President, “This for VDC DS is another example of our broad continuing cooperation with various Sony groups to bring high quality, long-term supportable projection technology to the worldwide military and commercial simulation industry. We welcome this opportunity to work with Sony Micro Devices, and utilize their SXRD QXGA simulation panels in the development of our new QXGA SIM(TM) projection system. Without a doubt, Sony is the proven world leader in LCOS with their SXRD projection technology.”
