Microsoft Touchwall is a New Multi-Touch Flat Surface

At the Microsoft CEO Summit, Bill Gates will demo a new multi-touch computer and interface today called TouchWall. This device is a touch screen hardware setup, that is built on a version of Vista; it is called Plex. Multi-touch technology allows users to compute without conventional input devices such as mouse or keyboard. Multi-touch consists of a touch screen. This effect is achieved through a variety of means, including but not limited to: heat, finger pressure, high capture rate cameras, infrared light, optic capture, and shadow capture.With a hefty pricetag of around $10,000, the hardware is available everywhere else for a much lower price. This device consists of three lasers that can scan the surface, and keeps track of movements. It is on a 4 x 6 foot plexiglass screen, a rear projector, and includes lasers
