Once again the Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 1080 UB comes out with another great review. This reviewer wanted to convert his storage room into something useful, so instead of having a room with a bunch of older computer equipment, he would have a fully developed home theater with an Epson 1080 UB as the projector. For over three years, the reviewer enjoyed use of the Sony VPL-HS20 Projector, which for the reviewer, finally lost its appeal and was upgraded to the 1080 UB. As he states “I’ve always been a fan of Epson projectors for data/business presentations, so it didn’t take much convincing to look into Epson to replace my Sony.” So after ordering the projector with the $200 rebate, it arrived and was installed. When the reviewer inserted a movie for Blu-ray testing, he states, with regard to the advertisements prior to the movie “My mouth hit the floor. I had never seen that ad with such clarity and depth.” To sum up this review, it seems the Epson 1080 UB is a great projector for up-to-date digital imaging, and even better for Blu-ray.
