FSN to Televise NBA Game through Sony SXRD 3D Projection System

SRX-R110

Announced today, FSN Southwest will attempt to alter the future of sports television when they broadcast a NBA regular-season game live in 3D HD to an audience at Mark Cuban’s Magnolia Theatre in Dallas’ West Village. Using an 18 x 42 foot screen, the audience will wear 3D glasses that will make it seem like they are right at the game. The effect will simulate left eye and right eye images with the high-definition cameras. The system uses Sony CineAlta 4K projectors with two Sony SRX-R110 4K projectors in double-stacked configuration. Two prior NBA events were presented in Fusion 3D, but this one will be the first in 3D HD. The game is to be broadcast on March 25th.
