Christie announced yesterday the release of a new 3D system that will be able to use two Christie projectors to display 3D images. The 3D2P system comes with a stacking frame with rollers that are adjustable. The system is built to be mobile but also deliver double the brightness that normal 3D systems. The main feature of the 3D2P is that it doesn’t require additional fees of licensing from the theaters in order to own or run it. Also, because Chrisite owns the entire 3D solution, the company plans to sell this system for the lowest cost of ownership. The 3D2P has already been installed in the widely acclaimed Krikorian Premiere Theaters. The 3D2P is also compatible with all CP2000 Series projectors.
