It looks like 3M will be the first company to release their ultra-portable projector to the world. Yesterday 3M announced that they have showed the device to investors at a conference in New York City. They also announced that they are working with a leading consumer electronics company, but will not announce their name until the release of the product. The mini projector will be able to attach to cell phones, cameras and laptops and will be able to display an image up to 50 inches, diagonally. The device is expected to be the first projector of its kind to come from 3M. The device is estimated to sell between $300 and $400 when released, and is expected to drop to $150 within five years.
