Are you looking to make a home theater but don’t have the money for it? Consumer affairs released a way to have a home theater for just $1650. In their article they describe how to what you need and show you what to look for in order to get the best projector for the least amount of money. For their demo they were able to purchase the BenQ SP830 DLP projector for $1500, which is $1000 less than the original price. This model features WXGA (1280 x 768) resolution, a 2000:1 contrast ratio and 3500 ANSI lumens. This model also has the ability to go HD with the right equipment. Due to the brightness of the SP830 they didn’t need a screen for their home theater, only a bare white wall, which saved him a lot of money.
