hd80_a1.jpg

The Optoma HD80 is a one of the cheapest full HD projectors out there. Selling for around $2000 this projector features an HD (1920 x 1080) resolution and a 10000:1 contrast ratio. This model also has 1300 ANSI lumens and a fan noise level of 27 dB. The people at AV Review had the pleasure of reviewing this projector and they had some interesting things to say about this model. The liked the quality of the picture when compared to the price of the projector. Their final thought about the HD80 was, “First, it’s not the absolute greatest DLP projector ever, particularly in the way it doesn’t have the sharpness to totally realize its full HD potential. But second, the full HD DLP projectors that do better than the HD80 all cost way, way more. So if you want to know whether the HD80 performs exceptionally well for its money, the answer is an emphatic ‘yes’.”
