TimePlay Entertainment Inc is a, Toronto based, Canadian gaming company. They have developed a series of video games that can be played on movie theater screens. This technology is currently being used in parts of Britain and Spain. How these games work is really simple. The movie theater downloads the games they wish to show through an internet connection. From there, the game is shown on the screen. The seats will be equipped with state-of-the-art touch screen controllers. Some of the games that are currently being played include trivia games, casino games, puzzles, and card games. The audience has the options to play as individuals, teams, or even play against another room. The reason why this technology hasn’t come over to the Americas is because a lot of these games currently include gambling, and it’s easier to get a license in Europe. TimePlay Entertainment Inc intends to start bringing some of these games to Canada sometime in the near future.
