The IBM Everywhere Intereactive Display goes Shopping

This has to be one of the coolest ways I’ve seen projectors used. The IBM Everywhere Interactive Display (EID) uses a projector, a camera and a motorized mirror to create a touch screen that can be moved anywhere in the room. The system can be set up to do anything from making pictures to presentation tasks in the office. One of the places they are showing this technology off is at the Bay’s Victorian-themed Christmas display window in Toronto Canada. Shoppers can use the window as a touch screen and have their picture taken and projected onto the faces of the manikins on display. From there they can either print a picture of the display or they can email it to a friend.
