Festival of Lights Features Christie Roadie 25K Projectors

The Festival of Lights is one of France’s biggest celebrations. This year Xavier De Richemont decided to combine three Christie Roadie 25K projectors to light up the front of the Chartres Cathedral. Every night for a week straight the projectors would synchronize with one another and a sound track and turn the front of the cathedral into a giant stained glass statue. Through out the show the pieces of the stain glass fly off or fall off revealing the actual front of the church. In order to get the three Christie projectors to work together De Richemont used a new software program called OnlyView 3D. This program maps the screen’s surface and makes sure that the projectors images fit neatly together.
