Sim2’s Domino D10

Sim2 has finally created an affordable projector, the Domino D10. This projector is priced at just over $2000.00 (£1600), making it one of the more competitive projectors out there. It features HD resolution (1280 x 768), a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and weighs only 9 lbs. The sleek design and matte-black finish give it a nice look. This “Entry Level” model is perfect for smaller rooms.

Motorola and Microvision Work Together on Mini Projector

Motorola will be first to have their cell phones equipped with the PicoP Mini Laser Projector. In a press release, Microvision announced that Motorola, one of the world’s leading cell phone makers, will be the first to have the PicoP projector in there new phones. The PicoP will be able to display images on a variety of surfaces with a WVGA (854 x 450) resolution. No date was given as to when this technology will be available.

DreamVision DreamBee Projector

DreamVision has released a new projector called the DreamBee. It’s loaded with features to make any home cinema the best it can be including HD technology and a 15000:1 contrast. This projector seems to be better than most HD projectors, except for the price tag. It’ll set you back a cool $13,000. Gizmodo explains how other HD projectors can deliver the same quality picture for less than half the cost. Two of the other projectors mentioned are the Panasonic PT-AE1000U and the Epson Powerlite Home Cinema 1080, which will set you back $6,000 and $3,000 respectively.

Infocus Play Big IN82 Projector

Infocus has announced a new home cinema projector, the Play Big IN82. This is the first Infocus projector to be equipped with single DarkChip3 technology from Texas Instruments. The projector features a 4000:1 native contrast ratio, 1500 Lumens, and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 to give you a great looking picture. The Play Big IN82 won’t be out for another month but that allows you to save up $5,499.00.

NEC Announces the NP1150, NP2150, and NP3150 Projectors

NEC has announced three new NP Series Projectors at InfoComm 2007, the NP1150, NP2150, and NP3150. These projectors are the first commercially available projectors to use the “Connect to a Network Prjector” wizard in Microsoft Vista and will feature Silicon Optix HQV technology for high performance video scaling/processing.. They range in brightness from 3500, 4000, and 5000 lumens, respectively. These projectors aren’t expected to come out till later this year.

Sanyo LP-XP100L LCD Projector

Sanyo announces the industries highest brighness single lamp projector in the portable class, the LP-XP100L. This projector features 6500 lumens, a resolution of 1024 x 768 (XGA) and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. This projector will be available August 1st for around $10,000.
