Planar PR5022 Projector

Planar is pleased to unveil their new projector, the PR5022. With XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, and DLP technology this model is made for conference rooms. This projector is designed to be comfortable and easy to setup and use. With 3500 ANSI lumens this projector can project in lit rooms with no trouble at all. Also, the lamp can run for a respectable 3000 hrs. A nice little feature is that the access to replace the lamp is on the top of the machine. This makes it easy to change no matter where it is mounted, ceiling or desktop. Also with Planar’s new 3 year warranty this model will be highly talked about during InfoComm. When released to the public, the PR5022 will sell for about $1,699.00

Sony’s Summer Projector Line

Sony will have their hands full in the next couple of months. According to Engadget.com, Sony will be releasing several projectors with in the next month. The first to come out will be the VPL-EX4 and VPL-ES4. Both are 3LCD models and feature up to 2200 lumens. The EX4 will feature an XGA (1024 x 768) resolution while the ES4 will have an SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. Along with those, in July, Sony will release its VPL-C Series. These models will feature XGA resolution and a variety of brightness levels ranging from 2700 to 3600 lumens. This series will include VPL-CX155, VPL-CX150, VPL-CX125, VPL-CX120, and the VPL-CX100. The series will also have a late bloomer in October with the VPL-CW125. This model will be able to give WXGA (1366 x 768) resolution instead of the XGA that the others will have.

Sanyo PLC-XF47 & PLC-XP100L Projectors: Named “World’s Brightest”

With InfoComm getting started, there are a few projectors that are shining brighter than all the rest. Two of these projectors are designed by Sanyo, the PLC-XF47 and PLC-XP100L. They recently were named “World’s Highest Light Output” for their respective model types. The PLC-XF47 was designed mainly for offices and classrooms. This model features 15000 ANSI lumens and an XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. The PLC-XP100L was named “Brightest Portable Projector” with 6500 ANSI lumens. The PLC-XP100L also features an XGA (1024 x 768) resolution. Both models also give us a 2000:1 contrast ratio. These projectors will be hitting the stores some time in September.

Sim2 HT3000E Projector: High Quality For High Price.

Sim2 Multimedia has released a new projector with state of the art technology. The HT3000E is a remake of its predecessor, the HT3000. This new model with be carrying something called Unishape, which controls the light intensity according to the image being projected. This new technology will give the HT3000E added brightness, less dithering, and more colors. Some of its other features include 6500 ANSI Lumens, Darkchip3 DLP Technology, and HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The price of this new technology does not come cheap, $20,000.

Infocus has released a new Ultra-Mobile projector that has some big features - the Work Big IN10. This model has an XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, 1100:1 contrast ratio, 1800 Lumens and much more all in a 3 lb package that only costs $1,249.00.

Epson PowerLite S5

Epson has released a multi purpose projector, the PowerLite S5. This projector sports 2000 ANSI lumens and a 400:1 contrast ratio so you can put this projector in any room. It also gives you 3LCD technology and SVGA (800 x 600) resolution. It also comes with all the necessary connections you need for any business presentation. One of it’s main features is a Game mode for when you bring your projector home. Just imagine relieving the stresses of work with life sized characters. The PowerLite S5 is set to sale for only $649.00.

Toshiba TLP-XC2500AU Projector

Toshiba is blowing off the dust of an old projector and giving it a few new adjustments. The TLP-XC2500U was released over a year ago, but recently, they have announced a newer version, the TLP-XC2500AU. This low cost model is intended to give educators just as much as the previous model did. Some of the features include an XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, 2500 ANSI lumens, a 400:1 contrast ratio, and an Eco Mode. This new version is also quieter than its predecessor, and it is also able to compress to QXGA (2048 x 1536) resolution. This projector is available for $1,439.00

Epson and Philips Join Efforts for Mini Projector

Epson and Philips have created a projector that is intended for gamers on the go. This little 3LCD projector is able to produce an 800 x 600 resolution. All it needs is Philips’ driver and lamp system. This projector really can fit in the palm of your hand. It isn’t known when this design will be released, but it will give the other companies, with mini models, a run for their money when it does.

Sanyo LP-X50 Projector

Do you need a projector that’s short-range capable? The Sanyo LP-X50 projector is made for this situation as it needs only 3 inches to project a picture that is 80 inches on a surface. This projector boasts a 1024×768 native resolution, 2000 Lumens, an audio alarm to deter theft as well as “blackboard mode”, which allows you to mount the projector above the projected surface. It has a pair of VGA inputs, component, S-Video, and composite connectors and a two-watt speaker. The Sanyo LP-X50 isn’t going to available to the public until around Christmas time and can be had for about ¥600,000 ($4,931).
