JVC has announced a revolutionary new technology. A 1.27in 4K2K D-ILA chip, that will give projectors a better resolution by more than 4x. This chip will be able to produce a 4096 x 2400 pixel image and up to a 20000:1 contrast ratio. The chips main purpose will be for medical and simulation purposes. The enhanced quality will make training programs and other devices more accurate and precise. However, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be put into HD projectors for your home theater projector someday.
