Panasonic’s PT-DW5100U and PT-D5700U

Panasonic is coming out with a pair of fixed installation projectors, the PT-DW5100U and PT-D5700U. The DW5100U has a resolution of 1280 x 768 (WXGA) and 5500 lumens, while the D5700U has a resolution of 1024 x 768 (XGA) and 6000 lumens. Both come with 3D Color Management, which gives them over a billion colors to saturate your screen with. The price for these two will be about $11,500 each, but don’t expect to see them until August.

Panasonic PT-D4000U DLP Projector

Panasonic has come out with a new fixed installation projector. The PT-D4000U can be mounted for a variety of purposes ranging from conference rooms to arcade rooms. This model features 4000 lumens, a 1600:1 contrast ratio and an XGA (1024 x 768) resolution for a clear and high quality picture. Panasonic hopes that these and other features will make this projector as popular as its predecessor, the PT-D3500.

Barco CLM HD8 Projector

Barco just announced the CLM HD8 Projector, which is meant for medium sized venues.  This projector has a HD (1920 x 1080)  resolution, 8000 lumens and a 1200:1 contrast ratio.  There are also optional lenses that you can order to get the best quality for your specific application.

JVC Announces New Chip at InfoComm 07

JVC has announced a revolutionary new technology. A 1.27in 4K2K D-ILA chip, that will give projectors a better resolution by more than 4x. This chip will be able to produce a 4096 x 2400 pixel image and up to a 20000:1 contrast ratio. The chips main purpose will be for medical and simulation purposes. The enhanced quality will make training programs and other devices more accurate and precise. However, that doesn’t mean that it can’t be put into HD projectors for your home theater projector someday.

Sharp XG-P610X is First to Get New Technology

Texas Instruments has just released a new technology designed for large venue projectors. The 0.7″ DLP 3 chip with XGA (1024 x 768) resolution was designed for projectors who have brightness between 5000 and 7500 lumens. This chip will give these projectors a higher, professional image as well as increases the brightness. The first model to receive this new technology will be the Sharp XG-P610X, which is due to come out in early 2008. The XG-P610X will feature 6000 ANSI lumens and multiple optional lenses making it perfect for large venues.

Sharp XV-Z20000U Projector Review

Audio Video Revolution was recently given the Sharp XV-Z20000U projector to review. This model features an HD (1920 x 1080) resolution meaning all of your HD-DVD and Blue-ray movies will look better than ever. This projector features a single DLP chip technology, 1000 ANSI lumens and a 12000:1 contrast ratio. The price of this will set you back about $10,000, but as the reviewer said “compared to most of the competition in 1080p resolution projectors, whether 3LCD, LCS or DLP, the Sharp XV-Z20000U definitely stands out as one of the best.”

Sanyo PDG-DSU20 Projector

Sanyo has another projector to put on the table. The PDG-DSU20 is lightweight and is able to provide the brightness needed for any meeting room. Some other features include SVGA (800 x 600) resolution, 2000 ANSI lumens, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio. This model weights only 6lbs making it ultra-portable for your convenience. This projector will not be out until August for $695.

Sanyo PLC-WXU10 Projector

Sanyo has many new projectors to display at InfoComm. One worth mentioning is the PLC-WXU10. Its WXGA (1280 x 768) resolution and 400:1 contrast ratio gives it a higher quality for both the office and your home. It also features 2000 ANSI lumens to allow it to project images in both light and dark environments. The PLC-WXU10 will sell for $1495 when it comes out in October.

NEC VT700 Projector

NEC has released its VT700 projector. This projector gives teachers everything they need to teach their classes. Some of the features include 3000 lumens, XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, and a DVI-I input. NEC states that this projector will be both easy to use and affordable for just about everyone. There isn’t a lot of information about this projector yet. However, once InfoComm is over we will be able to get a better look at this projector.
