With the debut date coming soon, Sony has decided to give the VPL-AW15 another projector to join in the Bravia series. The VPL-AW10 is very similar with its 1280 x 720 resolution and the ability to play games and view television with HD quality. They will also be producing 1100 lumens and a 1.6x zoom for a vivid picture. The difference between the two machines lies in the display technology and contrast. The VPL-AW10 will have the Advance Iris; the AW15 will get the newer technology and get the Advance Iris 2 technology. This new LCD technology will give the VPL-AW15 a contrast of 12000:1, which is half of what the AW10 can produce. Both projectors will be moderately priced, starting at $1000.
