Sanyo Announces New Ultra-Short Throw Projector

Sanyo announced their new LP-XL40 ultra-short throw LCD projector today, adding to their line of projectors designed for office and educational use. The unusually large lens allows for 30 inch screen to be projected from 2.4 feet away, with a maximum 80 inch screen from 3.4 feet away. This projector is designed to be perfect for crowded rooms where little space is available for projection. Because there isn’t much chance of image wash-out from the projector being so close to the screen, the 1500 ANSI lumens it projects is more than enough, and if an educator or professional is worried about someone walking off with their projector, there will be a bright orange version of it, the PLC-XE40, available with a built-in alarm. You can expect to see the LP-XL40 in Japan in October before it goes worldwide, and the PLC-XE40 will be available shortly in the United Kingdom before also going worldwide.
