Pros: Inexpensive, lightweight, okay looking image for the money.

Cons: A bit loud, but not too bad. Runs very hot - kinda expected that because it has to cool the lamp.

Projector cooling fan shuts down in 7 seconds from power off. There is no way you can cool a lamp down in 7 seconds.

Expensive lamp - but what projector doesn't have an expensive lamp.

Review: I purchased this projector for my son's room for his multiple game systems.

I fabricated a mount using a 3/32" steel plate and 1/2" galvanized pipe. The mount cost less than $10.

The projector really does heat up the room quite a bit, which is nice in the winter...not so great in the summer when the room reaches 80 degrees when it's running.

So far, it has 1,800 hours on it and there has been no distortion in color, particularly in the blue panel which is the first to go on a 3 chip LCD projector. If it breaks beyond the two year warranty, just replace the projector - it's under $700.

If I had to do it again (and will when I finish the basement), I would just have spent the money on a very large LCD panel for this particular application. It’s not worth spending $300 to $400 every 18 months on a new lamp for a kid’s projector.

Overall, I have had no problems with this unit. I clean the filters regularly and twice a year *pull it apart to blow the dust out. *(I’ve repaired dozens of projectors professionally).
