Pros: Back in 2005, this seemed like a good choice. it was WXGA which was a nice step up from xga. It had a good image. Color was good. price was a tad high, but I purchased from Best Buy, which wasn't the wisest of decisions

Cons: About a year and a half (I bought 11/2005 and it broke on me on 4/2007) the projector started turning off randomly. That is the bulb turned off. This was a problem from the very beginning. I initially thought it was the bulbs, so i kept buying new ones. finally even new bulbs wouldn't resolve. turns out the light engine went out. warranty was up, so i couldn't get support. Cost to repair? 2k. I also was getting headaches, from the rainbow effect of DLP.

Review: My DT-400 had a major failure with it's light engine and the Sharp tech reported it would cost more to repair then the machine is worth (over 2,000). When you buy any projector make sure you get a 5 year warranty. My next projector will be the Epson 1080p projector for 3k, with a 5 year warranty.
