Thanks to advanced DLP technology and Marantz's long history of expert innovation, the VP4001 stands out from the crowd. The sleek silver and dark brown enclosure houses a formidable new DLP IC ideally suited for high definition (720p) widescreen reproduction from conventional video sources or computers. Based on technology originally developed for Marantz's VP11S1 projector, this high-density video engine benefits from Texas Instruments' new DDP-3020 video processor/scaler. Significant performance improvements include BrilliantColor™ to eliminate color blurring without the "momentary off" condition mandated by older DLP arrays. A high speed, six-segment color wheel, super-bright mercury bulb, 3-position selectable iris, and a precise manual zoom/focus lens complete the optical chain.
Electronic adjustments include a sophisticated color management system, image shift functions, and keystone adjustments. Inputs include one HDMI, two component video, and one each RGB, S-, and composite video. The 12 volt "trigger" output combines with a backlit remote controller, RS-232 capability, and an industry-standard Kensington security anchor to let the VP4001 function seamlessly in almost any home or commercial installation.
The VP4001 is just the combination of performance, simplicity, and elegant engineering you've come to expect from Marantz. Quite simply, it's yet another example of "Life Amplified."
