The HD178 is one of Knoll's mid-line fourth generation DLP™ projectors featuring the remarkable Darkchip2 imager. It has all the features and almost all the picture quality of our top-of-the-line true HDTV projectors at a fraction of the cost. It will accept and display all ATSC HDTV formats including 720p and 1080i, as well as almost all conventional NTSC, PAL and SECAM format material. Old VHS tapes as well as any new DTV and HDTV formats can be easily displayed.

What used to cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars, full factory calibration is included in each HD178. An all glass 12 element lens, video processing by Pixelworks, light engine by Texas Instruments, and proprietary software by Knoll's, the HD178 has all the best features, packed into one projector!

The high-speed color wheel virtually eliminates "rainbows" and disturbing motion artifact problems. Packaged in an aesthetically pleasing chassis with a modest footprint, it can be ceiling or floor mounted.
