Crystal View's Model CV-720HD+ projector was developed to overcome the shortcomings of earlier LCD and DLP projectors and to incorporate new features that make it ideal for stunningly realistic HDTV reproduction in a home theater. Unlike other single-lens projector suppliers, Crystal View also makes CRT projectors that are acknowledged to be the reference standards for image quality. So we were our own severest critics throughout the development of this extraordinary DLP projector.

The core of the CV-720HD+ is the Texas Instruments, DC3, high-contrast DMD chip. The light reflected from this amazing chip, passes through a proprietary, 7-segment, high-speed color wheel before emerging from an ultra-sharp zoom projection lens. The exceptional color purity of this color wheel combined with factory adjustments we make on the CV-NNR-DVI video scaler that is matched to each projector, results in on-screen colors that fully meet the SMPTE specification for DTV color accuracy. Many other unique design features of the CV-720HD+ contribute to its outstanding contrast ratio of 4500:1. That high contrast ratio produces velvety blacks and reveals details in the shadowy areas of pictures that are often washed out by other single-lens projectors.

The beauty of the CV-720HD+'s finely finished enclosure is more than skin deep. It contributes to the projector's high contrast ratio by keeping extraneous light from escaping. It is also a self-contained hush-box that muffles fan and color wheel noise, making the CV-720HD+ one of the world's quietest projectors at just 24 DB SPL. The enclosure is also cleverly designed to conceal all of the mounting hardware and wiring to the projector when it is in place on the home theater ceiling. Although we recommend the standard black finish to minimize its presence in the room, the CV-720HD+ is available to match any color you wish at no extra cost.

If you don't have the space or budget for a CRT projector in your home theater, the Crystal View CV-720HD+ DLP projector is clearly the next best thing. If you can compare it to any other single-lens projector, you will easily appreciate its superior image quality.
