Review: Out of the years of teaching, the President finally authorized the replacement of our departmentís projectors. I am aware that this projector is quite new and off the market from BenQ, and I must say it is such a far jump from the last projector we had running in this large room. The old projector was an old LCD (Iím leaving out the brand, because Iím sure itís just old and Iíd rather not talk negatively about it) projector. The MP777 is truly amazing though. I use projectors quite often as there are always documents, PowerPoint slides, or news articles that I share with my students regarding to their studies. The color and brightness of this BenQ projector is really stunning, as I can have the lights half on (for students to stay focused and take notes) and still have the white screen lit up like a camp fire! I would definitely recommend this projector to other teachers who are interested in purchasing a new projector as this one has worked very well for me!

Pros: bright enough for high light environments, high resolution, many types of inputs, good design, great color

Cons: needs a big room to take advantage of its stronger points, not very portable

Review: I bought this projector for a frequently used conference room about 2 months ago and I've been really happy with it. The buttons, the casing, the lens; everything is very sturdy and is clearly high quality design. The set-up itself was OK. I had to mess around with the settings for a few minutes to get the picture where I wanted it to be, but once I had that done, everything looked really good. It's mostly used for powerpoints, but we also frequently project video clips and work with text. It does all of those things very well: the video is crisp and clear, the text is easy to read, and doesn't give you a headache after reading on it for a while. The one thing that stands out the most is the high contrast ratio. The colors are great, and everything is clear even in darker videos and pictures.
As I said above, you really need the right setting for a projector like this, a small room wouldn't let you project a really big image and therefor wouldn't take advantage of the really bright projection. Otherwise, this was a great purchase and I'd recommend it to anyone with the same goals for a projector that I had.
